The wormel is a small flying amphibian that was discovered in caves from the East in Eden, where they fly blindly throughout, searching for bugs with echolocation. Their diets consist mainly of Glowmoths, as they are the biggest creature in the caves, and easiest to find without eyes. They have two sets of wings, that resemble a dragonflies’ wings, and are near 3 inches long. The Wormels can grow nearly 6′ long on average, and the largest one ever found was over 2 meters long, and was found feasting on the corpse of an Augrei that fell to its demise into a ravine, after presumably being chased by a predator. The Wormels have sharp razor-like teeth and will latch onto humans that stumble upon their nests, leaving large cuts all around the arms. As their name implies, appearance-wise, they look like large and long worms, with no vertebrae, except they have tough skin to protect from lizards that might try and fest on the pest. The Wormels live in a nest of up to 50~ of them, all swarming one cave and destroying any unlucky animal, similar to piranhas on earth, except airborne and bloodsucking. The pests will sometimes infiltrate the crawlspace of a house, and it is highly recommended to call an expert a soon as signs of a nest emerge. The baby Wormels are fed the chewed up scraps of the prey and will grow from only around an inch to more than five inches in just a few weeks. The Wormels are born in a group of 5~ and do not develop their wings until around 3 weeks when they become a mature creature.
