Niertheig

Niertheig is a large statue made largely of an unidentified element that sends off extreme radiation from its core. It was a gift from the Aethereans to the Solicions until it began to fuse with the mountain’s high sulfur content and was made into a new compound, known as Coronium. It already is a key compound in Eden but the statue has an immense content of Gu and has brought forth some of the most powerful creatures on Eden, such as the Lolligo Lacerti  Genus from which the omnirexes were born of.  The radiation coming off of the statue is so intense it can melt the flesh off of any living creature if they get within 15 meters of the sculpture. Although bad things have come from it, the extra radiation causes large growth from organisms and they can develop extreme power and size. The greatest creature of the Lolligo Lacerti  (The genus of all the affected animals.) is the Ingens Rex, a giant spined lizard nearly a mile long, that can control elements such as fire, water, earth, and air, searching Eden for sources of radiation to feed it. It is nearly 400,000 years old and is showing zero signs of cellular deterioration or any weaknesses. Niertheig is worshipped by the Cult of the Ingens who say it was destiny for the elements to fuse and the Ingens Rex be created and call the Rex a demigod of some sort, whose goal is to destroy Solaar at the end of time.  Some others say that this was a conspiracy by the aetherians who knew what would happen and were trying to decimate Eden. But whatever the reason it has brought forth many good, and many bad things to Eden as a whole, and it’s next move is undetermined.
