I.P.C versions 0.001-0.023

IPC is short for Interplanetary Code, and was created as a way to unite all planets with a unified alphabet. Versions 0.001-0.004 consist of simplified hieroglyphics, resembling the animals which create those noises, but as time went on it evolved into more cryptic symbols. The alphabet not only includes symbols that replace the modern English alphabet containing 26 symbols, but it includes many other symbols for different sounds as opposed to the Earth’s approach of just combining letters to create new sounds. The original was created in 2087 under the codename ‘total linguistics’ and the newest version is 0.203, with the full 1.000 expected to be released 20 years from now. Four of the five civilized countries have agreed to switch to this alphabet when it gets released, with the only exception being Karyi, as it is still partially under the influence of the GKE (Great Karyian Empire.), who think of Karyi as superior to the other planets and do not want to become equals. The IPC was first conceived in a college in West Eden’s earth district, where a professor decided they were over the struggle of having to learn new languages, and the UWA (United Worlds Association) picked up on the idea. IPC has begun to pick up in communities and cities all across the planets and is being introduced into written stories as a new translation.
