An elephion is the result of the DNA fusion of an elephant and a lion. They are not a natural hybrid and are made by taking the DNA of a lion and inserting it into an elephant’s egg. They are commonly used as herding animals and will work at farms to keep livestock in their habitat. On average they grow to around 10 feet tall and are covered in rough fur which they inherit from their lion genes. Although they are large and quite ferocious they are very opposed to rodents and will avoid them. Their front legs are large and stiff, and their back legs are more feline-like and have large feet. They are very playful, but as they grow old they will become slower and less active. because of the cons of genetic hybrids, they only live for about 20 years and are given special medicine to accelerate their growth. Miniature variants exist, and the elephions are now as popular as modern-day dogs on earth. They were once powerful battle and farm animals, but advertisements and over-breeding have made them weak. They have also been a popular export to small countries to be used in wars, but a committee has been brought together to stop the cruelty. These gentle giants are strong and healthy creatures and unlike other unfortunate creations, don’t experience any disformities due to their unethical creation. They are relatively intelligent and social creatures, which enjoy playing with others. Their diet is omnivorous, mainly consisting of fruits and fish. They resemble hyena’s in build, and have a short trunk and small ear flaps. They don’t have a genus as they are artificial creatures that were first made back in 2098, in a zoo on Solice. No one knows why they were initially created, but many people suspect it was merely to up profits for the previously dying zoo.
