Containment: SCP-7861 is to be kept in a concrete enclosure measuring at least 30′ x 30′ x 20′. A minimum of 5 guards must be on watch at all times and they are required to carry firearms in the unfortunate circumstance of a breach.

Description: SCP-7861 resembles an African lion, with an elongated tail and large claws. It has been reported to attack anything that enters within a 20-foot radius of it, and won’t stop until it has destroyed its target. It does not require any energy to survive, and during its attack phase, it is impervious to all attempts to terminate and is in a heightened state of strength. If not agitated, it can easily be terminated, but if its remains are not monitored, it can revive itself seemingly out of nowhere. In one incident, it reproduced and created SCP-7861-A, which is identical to the original, minus its anomalous regenerative properties, and it was swiftly terminated. No other anomalous properties have appeared, but cameras have been carefully placed at corners of the cage. Tests have shown that its skin and other body parts are non-anomalous, and instead, it gets its power from a quartz crystal inside its skull. When it was extracted, 7861’s body fell to the ground and began to disintegrate. once that was complete, the crystal began to grow another body around it, resulting in the death of 4 scientists, before being successfully contained.
